The Constitution of UNESCO was signed in London on 16 November 1945 and came into force on 4 November 1946 as specialized International Organization of ONU. The purpose of the Organization is to contribute to Peace by promoting collaboration among nations through education, science and culture.
UNESCO Club Udine, together with other 7000 clubs and Centres operating in every continent, is the local exponent of Organization purposes. The Club has been operating for about 30 years.
The activities of UNESCO are also the dissemination and sharing of information and knowledge – while helping to build human and institutional capacities in diverse fields. Unesco Udine is member of Italian federation of UNESCO Centres and Clubs.
